Taqueria El Corazon - Kaslo

Amazing little sidewalk cantina not to be missed with a Mexican village inspired lakeside cantina patio!

Make a reservation if you wish to dine at el Corazon. This place is busy and for a good reason. We just happened to arrive at 3:57 pm they open at 4:00 pm on a sunny September Friday afternoon and there was another group already ahead of us waiting to put their name down for a table. Our party of 3 were seated right away on the patio with a view of the lake and within 15 minutes the patio was full. All inside tables were reserved. We loved the fresh made tortilla chip and salsa. Pictured is the halibut ceviche served with more chips that two of us couldn't finish. Really good, spicy and filling. We ordered fish tacos that we had been told about by a friend who lives in Mexico part time and were not disappointed. Fish was fresh, crispy, house made tortillas yum city and the sauce and cabbage perfectly balanced. Enjoyed the margaritas too and the view from the patio is incredible during the day of the lake. We felt like we were in Mexico dining here. Super friendly service, covid distancing, masks on the staff. All around a meal that we will fondly remember for years to come and will return again next year. Oh and the homemade hot sauce is so good. We asked to buy a bottle but due to food safety laws I assume the owner wasn't allowed to sell it to us at this time but hopes to be able to in the future

Had the Taco stock shield. We all enjoyed it. You also had a very tasty spirit that you expensive daily drink special. Our staff was great. I would eat a point here again if I passed this beautiful city

Excellent service, delightful menu, best margaritas ever! In a busy night, we could get to the hiking list. When a table opened, they called us. It followed exemplary culinary execution of Tostada-Kontramar and Mariscos-Tacos. Delicious, great presentation, friendly and quick service from staff. 10/10 recommend. A small taste of Mexico in downtown Kaslo! Make an online reservation on the day to avoid disappointment... They are so popular, sometimes fill them out! We just want them to be open every day! Thanks Taqueria! We'll be back.

So awesome. The best Margaritas I have ever had. Shakened. The Tostada Contramar. Ahi Tuna tacos were outstanding. The servers were awesome. Thanks for the great service, awesome food, great atmosphere..and I am an owner in the industry.. great job. Our group of 14 were so impressed.
