Voodoo Hut Cat Scratch Kitchen - KEMAH

We are here a year ago on spring break and the food was phenomenal in 2021. So we returned this year (2022). The burgers were dry and over cooked, as was the chicken. We came on a Friday evening around 6pm and there was hardly anyone at the restaurant which was nice—but the waitstaff were very inattentive. The value for the price just wasn’t worth it.

Brunch! had a few apples of **** pancakes and the breakfast biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausages and speck. cannot remember the names of the meal.

Venue was great service was great. band was Awesome just had issues with other patrons . Seemed to have taken way too long to stop serving several individuals that were highly intoxicated, but over all great place to gather.

I found that reserving a table at this place means nothing. Ask for standard seating, and got hi-top. I specifically avoid hi-tops due to leg circulation. We were seated behind a post, which made it hard to enjoy the band. Food was good, but their scratch-made bread was stale. Noise level of band way too high. Didn’t know that smoking was allowed in the restaurant, must be a Texas thing?

Our Thanksgiving plans didn't work out, and we were struggling to find decent options until we came across an event on Facebook. We're so glad we made the decision to go! The food was outstanding, and the service we received was excellent. I'm really pleased that they were able to host this event!
