This pub is located next to the Holiday Inn, and since we were looking for a place to eat on Friday night, we decided to give it a try. They were accepting walk-ins, so we were able to have a quick meal. The service was efficient when it came to serving drinks, and they had a burger and pint special outside which I opted for (although it was only a specific type of cheeseburger). The chips were served in a small basket, thick-cut and crispy, which paired well with the meal. The sauces were limited to the usual ketchup and mayo in small sachets. The restaurant was not too crowded, and we enjoyed sitting back and relaxing while watching the news on the screens. I have dined here before and will definitely come back when I am in the area. Many nearby restaurants were closed due to the pandemic, so it was nice to have a sense of normalcy at this place.
The restaurant has excellent service, cold beer, and air conditioning which are all very important on the hottest day of the year. They also have very good social distancing measures in place.
Sono stata qui con mia sorella..abbiamo ordinato una bistecca al sangue ed è arrivata super cotta.,,un classico dei pub inglesi fish and chips ed è arrivato un findus con tantissima panatura!! Mai più!!
Five of us came in for a meal, we were approached by one of the staff members telling us we needed to go to the till to which we replied we were still choosing our meals. Three of us had burger and chips, fish and chips and a chicken makhani. The Aberdeen Angus burger and chips were lovely, the cod and chips was okay and the curry was watery. We were there at happy hour so we had a 3pint tavern cider jug for £13 so we all spent about £18.50 for a meal and one glass of cider each which wasn’t too bad. Staff seemed friendly enough and was quite busy with drinkers when we arrived.
