Mcdonald's King's Road

This McDonald's location is typical of the chain with its high volume of customers. There is a small counter for ordering, but they encourage customers to use their kiosks. The quality of the food and drinks was average. The staff seemed a bit robotic in their service, simply calling out numbers and handing over food without engaging with customers. Despite this, I would return to this McDonald's as I know what to expect from the brand.

The environment at this restaurant was hostile. There was verbal abuse and hatred directed at me in public after checking if the toilet was clean. It was insinuated loudly by a cleaner or their friend that I was privileged and elitist because I expected the toilet to be clean. It seems that according to them, low-paid workers at McDonald's should not be expected to clean toilets hygienically.

The most ignorant staff in any McDonald’s I’ve met! Stood for 5 minutes and they just ignored me as I tried to get some ketchup! You would think something this BASIC would be included and in fact it was on my order but still they ignored it! So unhelpful and unhappy with the staff here! Terrible customer service! Need re training!

McDonald's used to be a place where you could escape the hustle and bustle of the street and unwind with a coffee or cheeseburger. Unfortunately, during COVID, it has transformed into a strict environment with guards enforcing face coverings before entry. Once inside, the atmosphere was tense, with customers timidly following floor markings and guards barking orders. Those who were too eager were met with angry outbursts. The masked faces and stern eyes created a somber and uncomfortable vibe.

What you would expect from a McDonalds but found when we went downstairs to eat it was very hot, busy and claustrophobic
