The hotel is super clean, the food was really great and the staff, in most parts, were so friendly. Big shout out to Kingsley, he was a welcome sight when we came in for breakfast and was very chatty. We went out on the sunset tiki boat which was a wonderful way to end our stay. The skipper Trevor did an amazing job and we had a lovely time chatting and taking in the views and the sunset. We went back the next day to drop off his tip as we didn't have any cash on us at the time but he wasn't there. So I hope this review makes up for it- so sorry Trevor! I would defiantly recommend you come and stay here for a chilled and relaxing break.
For getting the largest suite they have, I was disappointed with the location with a view of power lines. The kid activities were good, but the pool is small and the restaraunt food and service was below average. I was handed hot plates and the kids meals were $15 for mac and cheese that my kids refused to eat. My food was a small portion and not the quality I expected for the price. I made the mistake of looking under the sink in our room and it was disgusting. Overall the room was worn and it was not clean. The elevator to the room was not working the majority of our stay too which created a lot of walking up 4 flights of stairs. We enjoyed the beaches and activities overall, but you win me over with cleanliness and good service. It felt economy and not luxury overall. I would say if my kids are happy, I am happy and while the activities were generous with candy and crafts, I felt gouged over kids meals that did not have the quality or quantity, room prices were very high and disappointing and overall the service staff needs training on how to serve food and service rooms.
The place is terrific, a great sample of the Caribbean sea straight from Florida Keys. The coconut beach and its pier offer the most beautiful and extraordinary sunset ever. The rooms are very comfortable, full of light and quite clean. Hilton management over the resort, however, is a true frustration. Attendants at the reception are quite rude and do not make any efforts to explain all what is included in the reservation and get inpatient addressing non-US guests with a bad English spoken. So far I am trying to redeem my points from HH membership. As to the restaurant and breakfast the same, poorly managed and no conditions at all to get a reasonable service. The only exception to be mentioned is the pool bar attendants who were nice during our stay. Putting all that aside, just enjoy the incredibly beautiful view, spend a great time on the beach and interact with the cute and welcome dog hosts as well: they make it also worthy.
The place is beautiful!! There is such a lovely and quite private beach with music and a bar at disposal. The room is spectacular, very comfortable and spacious. Would recommend the coconut wings beachfront room view. However, I felt there wasn’t many food options at the restaurant and the service wasn’t that great for being a hilton. No breakfast included and Calusa restaurant is a bit expensive for what it delivers. If you are looking for a short getaway, it is the perfect place. Very close to Miami and there is an amazing sunset.
We stayed for 5 days with 2 adults and a 2 year old and 4 year old. We had a BLAST! All of us had fun. As parents, vacations can feel like you're just watching your kids in a different location... but not here. We had so much fun together. We made great memories enjoying all the on-site activities: jet skiing, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, pool, volleyball, ping pong ball, beach, and watching the sunset from our terrace, etc. If you're looking for quieter evenings, we recommend staying in the hammock wing on the upper floors. The coconut wing is across from the beach with all the activities and the bar and restaurant. Highly recommended this place!
