We ordered the bar pretzels and the fried pickles and were told 3 times that they would be right out. They never came before the meals came out. The waitress came over to tell us she never put them in, well wouldn't you know this after you supposedly went to check on them three different times. I expected that the manager would come over to apologize for what happened but that didn't happen.
I recently visited Study Hall and had a mixed experience. While the ambiance was pleasant, the service was slow and it took a long time to receive our food. Despite this, the food itself was generally good in quality, with the exception of a few dishes that were lacking in seasoning, such as the pot pie. However, it's worth noting that the restaurant staff were extremely dedicated and seemed to be doing their best to ensure that all customers received their food in a timely manner. They were running around trying to keep up with the demand, and it was clear that they were working hard to provide a good experience for their customers. Overall, I would give Study Hall a 3 star rating. While the food was generally good, the poor service and slow wait times detracted from the overall dining experience. It's worth noting that these issues may not be representative of all visits to the restaurant, and that the restaurant may be able to improve in the future with more consistent service and attention to seasoning in their dishes.
Everyone beware...you are going to be charged an additional 7.5% kitchen appreciation and benefits fee. The bartender Friday afternoon was awful too. Don't ask him for anything beyond a draft beer otherwise it's forgotten. The food was awesome and I loved the menu selection. That entire 7.5% fee though really ruined the entire experience. I'm not aware of anyone else charging this in the Kingston and Plymouth area. I won't be back unless they want to give me a 7.5% inflation credit.
Cool concept for a restaurant. Nice set up and decor. Pleasant servers and manager/owner. We got the wings and steak tip salad and they were pretty bad. Wings were not crispy and steak was tough, dry, and did not taste good.
Had a most pleasant dinner Friday evening. Live music was playing by a solo singer/guitarist. Menu comes in the form of a composition book from high school days. Not a huge menu but a few specials were suggested by our waitress. Wife went with the Study Hall burger which came with a fried egg on top. I went with the wings and flatbread special. Both of our meals were good. Portions are decent. Wine pour was good and the green bean appetizer was quite yummy. We will return
