Im Steinhaus - Königswinter

Super place for great steaks. Very friendly staff and very willing to help. Need to work a bit on their side dishes but overall really nice place.

We were staying at a hotel near by and reseached restaurants near by and decided on el toro perdido and we weren't disappointed! Located in a street just off a footpath next to the Rhein, it was easy to find. There were a few people...eating outside, but we were the only ones eating inside. We were feeling a little pessimistic about how quiet it was, (but it was the beginning of the school holidays) our fears were put at ease when the food arrived. Presentation is very rusical, but we haven't come for a pretty looking meal, but for great steaks. My wife opted for 180g fillet and I chose the 400g Entrecote Ribeye and we were both more than pleased. The staff were extreamly friendly and helpful. One thing to be aware of is they only accept German EC bank cards and no credit or other bank cards, so take pleanty of cash!

I have been to this steak house many times. The steaks are really good. I would have to say one of the best around Bonn. Especially the value can't be beaten. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I have been there with customer, friends,...and family and only good things are said. I would give it two thumbs up

Excellent quality meat, cooked perfectly. Friendly staff, the chef is happy to have a chat anytime. Definitely worth trying it out if you love a good steak. In the warmer months you can sit outside under the stars

Wir sind mit einer Gruppe von 12 Leuten dort gewesen, um mit Arbeitskollegen einen Geburtstag zu feiern.Um es vorweg zu nehmen: Das beste an unserem Aufenthalt war das Ambiente.Der Service war eine einzige Katastrophe:Beispiel gefällig:i) Gast: "Ich hätte gerne einen Mojito als Aperitiv." Kellner: "Haben wir nicht - Moment doch." Kellner kommt zurück: "Wir haben keine Minze"ii) Auf der Karte war ein Malbec "Gran Reserva" vom Weingut vom Weingut Luigi Bosca ausgeschrieben. Auf den Hinweis, dass die auf dem Tisch stehende Flasche kein "Gran Reserva" sei, meinte der Keller "Das ist doch der Spitzname"...Alles in allem war der Service sehr unfreundlich, nicht hilfsbereit und unbeholfen.Der Gipfel der Unverschämtheit: Ich habe 650 Gramm Filet bestellt und mit viel Wohlwollen ein 400 Gramm Steak erhalten. Trotz meiner Beschwerde ist bei der Überzeugung geblieben, es seien definitiv 650 Gramm. Nicht zu erwähnen, dass ich natürlich den vollen Preis bezahlen musste. Frechheit, die seinesgleichen sucht, zu mal sich der Koch sowie der Kellner völlig uneinsichtig zeigten.
