The staff are very friendly but what particularly stands out is the decor and ambience of the restauraunt. There is a pleasant outside area that has fake...grass that provides the perfect accompaniment for a taste of japan, or if you so choose the indoor setting provides an elegant mood ocasionally set to a piano soundtrack. The food is well presented and tastes fresh. I've been a few times and always enjoy it, a way to get more out of a sushi experience by being spirited away to this immersive cultural getaway.
I like the concept of Sushi Cafe it's a coffee shop and sushi bar... But in reality the quality is sacrificed. They sell sandwiches, cakes, croissants etc as you would expect from a cafe and the range of raw cakes looks great (I didn't...try them as I don't have a sweet tooth). But the sushi is average, if that. My husband actually suggested that it was frozen sushi that they've bought in and defrosted in the shop! I'm not sure if that's the case but with the lack of quality I wouldn't be surprised. It certainly wasn't fresh. Shame really as its a handy little place to stop in while you're shopping. I won't be buying their sushi again. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly and were very quick to mop up when my little one knocked her cup of water over.
I first stopped by this restaurant casually, but now I find myself returning regularly and making the extra effort to go there. The simple yet delicious menu, based on sushi concepts, combined with innovative and consistently great coffee, make this place my favorite spot to visit.
I stopped by for a quick coffee at this cozy restaurant with a small outdoor seating area. The coffee was excellent and the sushi was also quite good.
