Die Trattoria am Grossmarkt - Krefeld

First of all friends from München slept by us and so we looked for an good place to talk and eat. My Parents often visit @The Trattoria am Großmarkt and since they found it really good, we choose it for the evening. It's nice to sit inside and the spanish atmosphere is beeing performed perfectly. All in all the food was delicious and only wish that someday they are going to put some more pizza choises on the menu. Finally I would say that it's always an good decide to try out Großmarkt.

A very relax moment with well done food : outstanding cuttlefish (I am a specialist as I am from the South of France and traveling a lot across the South of Europe) Tiramisu (light) to end the meal and I am the most happy guy ... what a nice meal !!! Recommend it ....Cheers Guy

The trattoria am Grossmarkt is no longer a secret tip, due to the fact that it is a real italian restaurant. We got the tip from a Krefeld citizen. You need a GPS to find it. As a trottorai they not only serve pasta's and pizza's, but also very tasty other Italian dishes. Try for example the excellent vitello tonato and wonderful wonderful (whole) dorade. They also offer very nice wines at good prices.There is also a large heated and covered terrace, so all year round you can sit outside.Especially on frday and saturday you need to make a reservation. On Sunday it is closed.

Family owned in the converted Grosse Markt. This is a jewel in the city of Krefeld. The food is absolutely some of the best Italian I've ever eaten -- surprising in the middle of Germany. Excellent wine list as well. I stumbled on this place while in Krefeld on business and return every time I am in Krefeld.
