Phil Greig Strawberry Gardens - Kumeu

Lover their strawberry ice cream. One of the must stops on the way home in summer. I believe PYO is little overrated. And with new butterfly garden my son just love to go there. A must visit place in Kumeu for families.

Love their fresh fruit ice cream n they are best compared to similar places. This place is really busy in the season but I love their ice creams. Mix berry is my favourite. Their gelatos are also worth trying.

Came on a Sunday midday for PYO strawberries; weather was pleasant but not too sunny! <br/ <br/ After picking our strawberries we tried the Supa Mixed Berry Frozen Yoghurt— absolutely delicious! Smooth and creamy, good portion and nice waffle cone. Couldn’t fault it! The only downside at the time was the machine broke when it got to us and the girls making the ice cream looked a bit annoyed...<br/ <br/ Food: 8/10<br/ Price: 8/10<br/ Ambience: <br/ Service: 6/10

Few more days to enjoy that Auckland summer heat and as we head into Autumn lets reminisce what summer had offered us. Summers for Kiwi’s are synonymous to barbecues, beaches, music festivals, Pohutukawa trees, hiking and real fruit ice creams. Although summer came late this year (usually it gets hot in November and December, the real summer came around January) we still did enjoyed that a lot, which means we did all the activities mentioned above in a compressed number of days and luckily summer sun here in New Zealand starts at 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM at night.

By far the best ice cream and strawberries in town!
