From the time of booking to checkout we were comfortable, cared for and had everything we needed, including monstrous size cookies waiting in the cabin when we arrived! I was pleasantly surprised by the amenities in the cabin. The kitchenette was fully stocked with everything we needed even Kickapoo Coffee beans! *Helpful hint....definitely stop at a grocery store before checking in Viroqua Coop is amazing! . Everything food wise is at least at 20-30 min. drive and nothing is open on Monday. We LOVED our stay, the accommodations, scenery and our hosts. This is a must stay for sure.

It was everything I wanted and needed this place to be.Rooms: Unique cabins, cozy, comfortable, relaxing, amazing viewsNearby activities: Kayaking, tubing, shopping, farm markets, horseback riding trails, hiking, trout fishing, relaxingSafety: It's the driftless, need I say moreNoteworthy details: Amazing bakery, owners are onsite and very accommodating
My husband and I stayed 3 nights. Our stay was so quiet, peaceful and serene. The cabin was so comfortable and cozy. Everything was very clean and well kept. We spent time sitting on the porch enjoying the sounds and sights of nature. The many rustic and county roads and small villages we explored was an adventure! WONDERFUL time! The cookies were oh so good! Top Notch
Had a fantastic stay! Loved everything from the quiet, beautiful location to the amenities and quality of the cabin itself. Everything was so clean and bed was super comfy. Cookies and cake were delicious! Such a relaxing location, truly sanctuary! We will be back ?
My husband and I have visited the Smoky Mountains many times because of the natural beauty of the area and the abundance of outdoor activities to pursue. We have always rented the same cabin as we have never found a better one and at such a great price along with the friendliest of hosts. I am pleased to say we have discovered a place that ticks off all of the same boxes (and then some! right here in our home state of Wisconsin. The Kickapoo Valley Ranch Guest Cabins in LaFarge, WI, in the heart of southwestern Wisconsin’s driftless area, is a place we will be returning to for many years to come! There are several equally beautiful cabins to choose from, all with large porches facing the most amazing views of the area’s natural beauty. We chose the Big Sky Getaway cabin and it immediately felt like home. Everything we could possibly need for the weekend was ready and waiting for us. A small kitchenette complete with coffee beans and grinder was a nice touch. A super luxurious king bed and pillows provided a rejuvenating rest. The bathroom had a separate shower and a jetted hot tub. The entire cabin was wrapped in gorgeous knotty pine with western themed furnishings and pictures. The back porch runs the length of the cabin where you have an uninterrupted view of the hills and valleys, trees and wildflowers. Just breathtaking! Can’t you just picture yourself sitting in one of the rockers, sipping fresh coffee while listening to the birds sing their morning songs! Best of all are your hosts/owners. Cowboy Joe greeted us both on the phone (with a great deal we couldn’t refuse! and in the office at check in. You could immediately tell he was the kind of guy who was going to make sure we had the best weekend. Did I mention that there is the most amazing bakery right on the property? Cowboy Dave’s cookies were waiting for us in the cabin…best ever! Order ahead and he can make you the most divine cake or cupcakes for any special occasion! After canoeing on the Kickapoo, hiking in Wild Cat Mountain State Park, or enjoying breakfast at a quaint cafe, it was always a pleasure to return to our little slice of heaven!
