Le Castel - La Ferté-sous-Jouarre

Personally, 6 people went to the restaurant for a birthday, including an elderly person in a wheelchair. The chef offered us a special menu for the birthday, taking into account our wishes to adapt the dishes. The quantities were the same for those with good stomachs, the beef was succulent and tender. Very pleasant welcome. We were lucky enough to be alone that evening at the Castel, but the staff members gave us our privacy which was very pleasant. On the service, the choice of drinks and in particular the wine was very well recommended to us and the person was always smiling. The decor was exactly what I was looking for for my mother's birthday. The painted fresco which is in the dining room is really beautiful and represents a place in France that I will let you discover. We would like to return there next time during the day to be able to enjoy the landscape which looked magnificent. Having done several searches for castles and others in the surrounding area, the price of the meal offered with drinks (aperitif and 1 bottle of wine) was around 80 euros which is very reasonable compared to other places in Seine et Marne.

Wedding meal with 20 people. We had discussed everything with the Chef a few weeks before, a wonderful moment between choice of dishes and drinks, and some shared memories. The Chef is an incredibly pleasant man, with a disarming smile and look. He listens and knows how to support you in your choices. On the appointed day, after a delicious aperitif on the patio, we were seated in the large room with a view of the park. The large table gave us the impression of being the lords. The service was impeccable, all the staff were attentive. We feasted on foie gras and smoked salmon, a succulent fillet of tender and tasty beef with potato pancakes with herbs and bundles of green beans, a cheese platter as a buffet, and to finish a black forest-style cake with its delicacies. Everything was washed down with fine wines (including a divine Saint-Estephe). It was an extraordinary culinary journey. Congratulations to the entire castle team, we have had nothing but compliments from the guests. Thank you for everything.
