We had luck to find Casa Ramón located on a very steep sloping narrow road in La Victoria. The restaurant was filled with locals only this Sunday afternoon. The place is a typically family run restaurant with the parents cooking and the (teenager) children taking orders and serving. We noted the interesting food served to the neighboring tables. Fortunately our own servings were equal good. Simple, perfectly cooked and from first class ingredients. We had garbanzos (chickpea), bacalau (cod) and salchichas (sausages). All perfect. We drank the local red wine tapped directly from the 20 l cans. We cannot recommend this place too much if you like to try genuine Canarian cooking! It is wise to know some basic Spanish words otherwise simply look in the kitchen or point on the servings on other tables. Generally the locals are very friendly and will do their best to ensure you will have a nice lunch or dinner. Price around 35 Euros for lunch with wine for two persons. There is a small parking lot only 20 metres away to the left.
