Top shelf authentic breakfast stop if you are on the road going between Vernon and KelownaBasic no fuss 2 egg breakfast will set you back $7.
Great little gem hidden in a strip mallWe would never have found this classic diner without our local friends.
Staying in Lake Country last week, looking for a breakfast place close by without driving into Kelowna. The Wooden Nickel is a locally owned bright little breakfast and lunch restaurant. They have friendly staff and hearty portions. I ordered the eggs Benedict, others had bacon/sausage and eggs with homemade sourdough bread, yum! We also went back for a lunch, great sandwiches as well. It is wheelchair accessible and has good parking...I have a broken leg and am using a walker - ample space for seating within. Please support our hard working local restaurants and vendors.
We went to the Wooden Nickle for breakfast. They weren't full but service was quite slow. We had to ask for coffee and water refills every time we wanted as the waitresses didn't notice. They have fantastic home made sour dough bread but it was soaked with butter. Had a ham and cheese omelette and it was quite good. Would return if there weren't other options.
