Gator's Dockside Highland City

I was not impressed with the food. Our 1st order of cheese sticks were cold and my ceaser salad had no taste. It was like eating my salad straight from the ground minus the dirt. However the manger did take care of the cheese sticks. When we walked in we stood at the door waiting to be seated. We were the only ones at the door. Once seated we waited again for our waitress who never showed. Instead another waiter on the other side of the building seen us waiting and took our order. I won't go back.

Delicious food and excellent gator bites. I recommend removing the breading off of one gator nuggets and you’ll taste the quality of the gator.

Only -1 star for Service (more details below : Food was great!! We got the Alfredo w/ Shrimp, Fish Tacos, and the Sweet and Spicy Jalapeño Burger! All wonderful. Prices were also pretty good for 4 people: Sadly we think they may have been low staffed so we will give them the benefit of the doubt there. Asked for Mac n cheese side w/ the burger- it didn’t come. Asked the server to bring some out she must have forgot bc it also didn’t come. When we were almost finished eating we asked a second time the Mac n Cheese came (tasted great! One of the people in our group has a SEVERE EGG ALERGY. When we asked to see a menu or list of allergens in food (bc most restaurants have that we were given a Gluten-free menu. This had absolutely nothing to do with eggs even had items listed that would have contained egg (ie. Caesar dressing so if somebody didn’t know better, that’s actually pretty dangerous. We just played it safe and made a decision on our own. Still a guessing game with allergies though! Overall, it was great food!

This place is straight trash. Do yourself a favor and go eat elsewhere. We stopped in here with some friends because it was close by but what a mistake. Food took over an hour and the manager has the worst people skills of anyone I’ve ever dealt with. They should put him to wash dishes or sweep the floor because he definitely doesn’t know how to speak to customers.

This place must have hired a new manager recently because the service and the wait time was terrible. We’ve been here several times before after our sons ball game but we’ll definitely not be going back. Food took over an hour from the time we put the order in. There were others table with 8 to 10 people who got there after us, ate their food and left and we were still waiting on our food. We were only a group of 7. Terrible service. When we spoke to the manager he had an aggressive temper. Definitely not management material. I only gave them 1 stars because I was starving and the food tasted good.
