Mama Jean's Bbq - Lampasas

What a beautiful surprise! I had brisket and ribs, both were delicious. The potato salad was amazing; the green was the best I ever had. The manager welcomed and visited with customers. Very recommended.

I had a chopped rib sandwich here that was amazing, and it asked me why this sandwich is not offered by more restaurants. Also the puffy Cole Slav was really pleasant. The rest of the family had a variety of things. It could have been a little too much fat in the Briske, after then, but overall a solid BBQ experience!

Go to Briske. It is tender and perfectly seasoned - no sauce required. The greens available on weekends are tender with a smoky jalapeno vinegar and some sugar. Finish the feast with a just peach. The friendly owner went table to table to make sure that all of them enjoy their food. I'd eat here again.

I am thrilled with MJBBQ's catering and loved sharing Johnny's miraculous BBQ with my friends and family. Seriously, the ruin he uses on his brisket, and ribs are different. No.

I just bought my wife and I a 4 rib plate each. Took a bite into the ribs I've heard so much about. Was shocked by the flavor. It is by far the best ribs I've ever had. I must say even the beans are awesome. When I want to treat myself this is where I'm going. Great food and great people. Thank you Update 5/5/18: Just finished off a 3 meat plate. Sausage,Ribs and Brisket. I'm stuffed and very happy. This good BBQ has us hooked. It's now mandatory for us to eat there at a minimum once a month. So glad Lampasas finally has great BBQ once Again.
