Unfortunately, our reservation wasn 't in their system. The 3rd party said they couldn 't help find another hotel because it was midnight already. Kiana working at the front desk felt bad for us so, she offered to check their reservations to see if any cards declined. For almost an hour, we called various nearby hotels and it was sold out everywhere. We were starting to lose hope in finding a place to stay. That 's when Kiana walked over to us and said she was able to find a reservation where a card got declined. She was able to cancel that and give us the room. Definitely appreciate her willingness to help us out. Hope her boss gives her a FAT raise! It was a busy night and they were sold out, but Kiana pulled through. THANK YOU!!! Shout out also to Marjorie serving smiles in the morning during breakfast. Buffet had good options of omelets, sausage patties, potatoes, pastry section with bagels, muffins, cereal bar, juice bar, waffle makers, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, etc. When I had some extra food on a plate, Marjorie offered a tray for us to take our food up for convenience. Super sweet and kind! Every morning she was greeting the guests and asking if we would be returning the next day. Saying I 'll be waiting for you! All the staff here have been amazing. Rooms were also clean. Would return!
Very close to the Vegas strip. About a $10 ride to the strip. Heavy construction in the area, but once complete, seems like an easy 1 mile walk to the strip. A quieter option from the pricey massive hotels on the strip with free breakfast! I stayed here years ago and saw they did a face lift since then. The lobby and breakfast areas have been renovated into an open concept that is bright. They have a bar that stays open late. I waited at the check in desk until someone finally came out to greet me. I'm surprised they don't have someone at the desk throughout the evening. At times I'd have to wait and try to walk by the front door in hopes it would trigger someone to come out. The room was spacious and generally clean with a microwave fridge. Pleasantly surprised to see a Keurig coffee machine with Dunkin coffee pods. They also had 2 complimentary bottles of water. One night I noticed something near the foot of the bed so I got up. Then I saw a yellow bug scurry across under the sofa. A little freaked out I nervously approached the sofa in hopes I didn't see anything else moving. It came out again and I tried to catch it in a cup. I called the front desk and they quickly sent maintenance up to catch this bug and check for any others. I could not sleep well thinking if any more critters were around. Next morning I let the front desk know they probably need to spray the room. They were shocked and asked if there was anything they could do. I guess no one from the night before informed them of the bug situation. Breakfast is plenty with waffle makers, oatmeal, bread, bagels, scones, coffee, tea, apples, oranges. If you have an early tour before breakfast starts at 6:30am, you can request a to go bag which comes with a pre packaged bagel, peanut butter, apple, water bottle, and butter. To enter the parking, you need to get a ticket. This can add some time to Uber/lyft pick up as they need a ticket to enter or exit the hotel. Overall, a decent option near the strip with a good free breakfast. Close to fast food such as In N Out Burger, Jack in the Box, etc.
Well Hampton Inn location has certainly stood the test of time, establishing itself as a reliable and comfortable option for travelers looking for a welcoming stay. Despite being around for quite some time, the hotel's appearance remains fresh and updated, showing that they prioritize keeping up with modern trends in hospitality. Check in once again was a breeze because it is all done on the Hilton Honors App and digital key sent to me! No front desk interaction needed which for me is convenient. What can I say about this place? Well, for starters, the room was cleaner than my conscience after a therapy session. And spacious? I felt like I could do cartwheels in there if I wanted to (I don't know how to do cartwheels, but you get the point). The fact that everything was actually in working order was a pleasant surprise it's almost as rare as finding a unicorn in your backyard. The pool and hot tub were so relaxing that I almost fell asleep floating on my back like a turtle. And let's talk about breakfast it wasn't mind blowing, but it definitely did the job of fueling me up for the day ahead. All in all, this place gets two thumbs up from me!
Very clean and friendly staff! The hotel is close to the strip but you have to cross a major bridge to get there so you might want to take a Uber over to the strip. I like the fact that there is no $51.00 resort fee but they do charge for parking. That's why I am giving them a 4 star instead of 5. I really don't understand why you charge people to park when you are paying to stay there anyway. The breakfast is typical average at best but i am not a fan of free hotel breakfast. It's not good except for the bagel and cream cheese in my opinion. The rooms and beds are comfortable.
I attended the Rapport leadership training at the Hampton Inn Tropicana. It was definitely a great stay. The process to check in went smoothly and my room very clean and pleasant. Their breakfast selection didn't disappoint. I'd like to give special thanks to Marjorie for going above and beyond during breakfast service. She went to every table to check on the guest to see if we needed anything.
