Tailored Tea - LATHAM

A favorite breakfast/ luncheon nook for sure. It feels a bit like stepping back in time. The tea selection is stellar. Jerad is knowledgeable and accomodating in food preparation. He is able to factor in dietary restrictions. Every meal is delicious! He takes great pride in the quality, presentation of both meals and desserts. All employees are most enjoyable and efficient. I couldn’t be happier. Always a treat! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free scones can be made if requested ahead. Shepherds pie is the unique way Chicken pot pie is modifed to be gluten free, using mashed potatoes. Jerard is knowledgeable and creative and offers many menu choies that can be modified to accomodate dietary restrictions.

It's a cute and wonderful shop. I enjoyed afternoon tea. Afternoon tea hours are from 12:00 to 4:00. We ordered “The Hudson”. Choice of three tea sandwiches One scone Sampler of mini desserts Choice of 1/2 pot of tea or other beverage It was $20. 3 types of sandwiches You can also choose one type of scone. I made sweet carrot scones. I was happy because I could eat a variety of mini desserts. Since we both chose the same tea, it was served in one pot. There are no tea leaves in it, so there's no need to wait. The pot was warmed with a candle to keep it from getting cold, which was nice. It would have been perfect if the room had been cleaned a little more. A little disappointing about the dust.

Our tea sandwich had dried out bread, I don't think the clotted cream could even be called clotted cream it was more of a flavorless whipped product, and the assorted desserts were probably left out all night as they were hard, dry, and flavorless. The savory scones tasted like the onions were burnt but the sweet ones were passable. The upstairs dinning is just a folding table with a table cloth.

I took my wife Mom here today for Mother's Day brunch!! The food was amazing, we all loved our choices the caramelized scone was so good!! Our server was simply fantastic, he was super friendly incredibly attentive!! The ambiance is great, we will definitely be returning at some point!! Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs,
