Great service, however as I always find with these type of places:1) the good dishes are never on the train and have to be ordered separately (even though they came v. Quickly when ordered)2) most of the dishes are full of rice, although rice is often not in the pictures - I'm here to eat fish, not get stuffed on rice (I realise this is how money is made)
Went for train but ended up ordering from menu, lovely food really enjoyable. 2 issues firstly the train doesn't have a description on each plate meaning you have to guess by looking, and wierdly the ordered dishes came almost to quickly. great service and excellent value for money.
We had the chicken teriyaki, katsu chicken and gyoza. I love the chicken teriyaki! The gyoza was just average. There was nothing special about the katsu chicken but the egg that came with it had a very delicious flavour that made the dish extra ordinary. The portion is quite generous and reasonably priced. I think the drinks were a bit pricy. Service was very pleasant. I will definitely go back!
You may need to search Melbourne Central for this restaurant, its tucked away down a side passage (past the Pancake Parlour near TGIF).The food is good, and there is the choice between sit down meals, or sushi train. The menu is quite extensive, not overly priced, with good fast service. It is licenced, with a range of Japanese beers to drink.
