The staff is friendly, efficient and concerned. Nothing better than eating tasty meals that stand out at the turquoise blue sea in a warm welcoming environment. The beach is cleanly comfortable and also served by attentive staff. We come year after year and this place never disappointed. Holiday happiness guaranteed.
Great location. but ordered the dish of the day, the fish tasted odd had same fish earlier on my trip so knew it shouldn't leave an after taste in the mouth. They took it back ordered another dish and they proceeded to charged us for...both. when paying had to negotiate a discount of half price for returned dish. won't be eating there again. plus booked table and it was unavailable so was seated at a table nearest to shower and toilet.
Good variety of food with daily specials. Salads are amazing and very generous. Fresh fish available . However wine is expensive . Lovely views over the beach. A great lunch time venue.
Been coming here for many years as the food is great but each year the service has got worse . They really could not care about their customers and often 'shoo ' you out the way the only reason anyone is standing there is because...they are still waiting for their pre booked table that 's not yet ready ! shame as the chef is fantastic and his food is great . The menu of the day is not as imaginative as it used to be though ... the staff treat you like you are lucky to be paying them money ....
After battling our way through endless traffic jams in and around St Tropez we decided to explore other beaches than the Voile Rouge and Club 55 and were rewarded after a pleasant drive along the coast to find ourselves in Calvadère, direction Le Lavandou coming...from St. Tropez. Easy reasonable prized parking just across the road from a clean white sandy beach. Asking local advise we went for the last 4 mattresses available at the private beach Les Sables d ' Or , booking recommended even towards the end of season. I found the welcome and service a bit non existing and unfriendly to start with which is quite common towards the end of season in France but not acceptable. After an effort from our little group the staff warmed up and were pleasant enough. The mattresses were clean as was the white sand and the sea. Having been on a beach with a yellow surf not far from Cannes the previous day this was a pleasant surprise. We had lunch in the beach restaurant Les Sables d ' Or. A typical small menu and ' choice of the day ' dishes. We had moules frites and cuttlefish a la persillade not fresh indicated by our serveuse but well presented, good quality and perfectly cooked. Menu in English available. Other meat and fish dishes were fresh. Prices reasonable for the area and setting. A little siesta after lunch and several swims in crystal clear warm water we stayed until early evening. Besides a Spa hotel right on the beach there were all the water sport activities you can think of of available. So all in all, like Arnold said, I will be back !!!!!
