After spending two weeks holiday with our Gallic neighbours, I was constantly surprised by the poor quality eating and even poorer service we encountered. this place made my vacation lights roll, come at the 2nd worse place where we dived (I am still traumatized by the 1st and not yet checked it). mont stele is a beautiful place, and a day look is a pleasant activity, but it can be very busy, and there is a lot to foot, so tired and hungry we passed on this quirky looking place and entered our appetit. big mistake. After we sat in the deepest dark corner of the relatiw quiet restaurants, we got menus of a waiter who could not speak English no problem with it, we were in frank finally and my gcse taube French was tres bien! ordered to eat chicken chess for me, gluten-free salad for mademoiselle and pizza for the children. now I am a generous review before I see the good, glass half full, this kind of guy, but when that finally came, minus the salate, it was univorable to say the least. although it was obvious that a court was missing, it took several accusations for them to crawl together a few salat leaves and bring it out. pizzas were ok, but the huh was terrible. scrawny and tough, it was like a piece of leather to chew, the sose was unpleasant and there was a strange mushroom-shaped thing that even google had no idea what it was. alone for eating this place would have received a low score, but coupled with the extremely bad service in the grunde they simply did not interest, and then the bill, an eye watering 95 euro, this was an experience I would like to forget.
That seemed to be the restaurant that most people also go, so we decided to go here, after a quick look at the menu outside, we thought that this would be great for all of us as it had a lot. our server spoke English...(bonus) but then he changed to another server that apparently did not speak English. the language barrier was difficult, as he did not attempt to help or understand us. he has always put menus on the table as a placemat, although this annoyed our small child. I took his place to take him out of my hands, and then put him back in front of my small child who then wept. that was miserable for us as a parent, because that should have been a nice meal. eating that came out was very basic witness. looks like it came from a kebab shop. it was edible and filled a hole, as we were hungry all day after traveling. our drinks (3 of them, as do not want to order 4 due to the price) came more than the pizza did. we have seen that the employees are very rude to speak quite every individual who decides to leave, then also as they did. after that we found out that our waiter actually spoke English, as we heard him at the table next to us, so of course we simply wanted to suffer and cannot help us, although we were trying to speak our best in French, if he had given us time, it would have been much more beautiful. everything I can say is the hire of their employees if they don't work like tourist then not in a massive tourist attraction
Lower quality than elsewhere in the region. silly soup was tasty, but moules rather poor, pizza most likely frozen again. more expensive than champagne at this place. the staff is quite tired and unwilling. but they pay for the place.
We went to dinner at this restaurant, one of the only ones open for dinner at Mont S. Michel. Typical decoration, but little care Impersonal but effective service We chose to eat moules a la mariniere. They weren't bad but they weren't wonderful either. Cost...60 euros, a bit expensive for the meal
Popped in here to get away from the madding crowd on Mount St Michel. Very nice dining room atmosphere, polite and attentive service. Menu was varied with use of local produce. Can recommend the moules mariniere and local cider served in cups. Prices not too expensive either considering the location. Thoroughly recommend.
