Contribuisci feedbackI had made a reservation for a party of 3 through the restaurant's website and had an email exchange confirming a booking 15 minutes later than requested, which I agreed to. When we arrived with friends who had driven for 2 hours to visit, we were informed that there was no record of our reservation and it had been overlooked. The server even checked the email conversation on my phone as if to doubt my booking. I inquired if there was any way we could still be seated, but I was flatly refused with another apology. It was already past 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon, making it difficult to find another place to eat. The next day, I emailed to express my disappointment, and the chef/owner, Tony, promptly replied with an apology and offered some complimentary items if we decided to return. While the gesture was appreciated, we have decided not to dine there again.
Extremely disappointed!!! We made a reservation a month in advance for a special 60th birthday Sunday lunch. We were shocked when we arrived to find out they did not have our booking (even though we showed them the email confirming the reservation). They offered us nothing, no table, and didn't seem to care at all. The service was absolutely appalling!!!!!
Was so disappointed on Sunday 15th, October I booked for my husbsnds birthday the roast was delicious, but ooh dear was put in the very very cold anex no heating we sat in our coats with other diners so very cold, it really spoiled the occasion ,also was told the soup was only available if preordred so unacceptable as only soup !!!hope you sort this cold area as it is so sad for diners to eat food with top coats on
What a wonderful gem in the country, staff were great, food cooked by the landlady as one of the chefs were on holiday was fantastic, the rump steak was to die for, 3 starters 7 wonderful meals and 7 puds fantastic great price especially for the portion size already booked for Sunday diner. we will be back
Ever since Mackenzie has left the place has gone downhill, no organisation between staff (although it’s not their fault) it’s obvious the manager hasn’t trained any of them. I’ve also been told the waitresses get their tips every 4 months and don’t even get more than a weeks pay. Food is frozen and cheap. Tables are sticky, floors not cleaned. And manager is a bully
