The Juggs - Lewes

The Juggs is my local pub and after hearing about a change in management I was interested to visit and give it another chance to be like the good old days. I went with another local friend at midday, there was only 2 other tables in the pub, 1 looked like they were just having drinks. My friend and I wanted to order some chips and two drinks, we were told very bluntly that because we didn't have a booking we couldn't order any food! Chips take about 5 minutes to make, you just chuck them in a fryer! Not to mention the pub was almost empty. Well, they lost out on our money and we went to the Abergavenny in Rodmell where we were warmly welcomed as walk-ins, had drinks and food. I'm glad they got our money over the Juggs, they know how to run a pub! To the Juggs: sort it out! You're shooting yourselves in the foot and bringing down what used to be a great, friendly, local pub.

Nice friendly staff but the WiFi isn't without hassle, you have to link to your social media or fill in a form.. Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I just returned from a late lunch, and we enjoyed some wonderful pies. Chef Jack stopped by for a chat, and we praised him for the quality of the vegetables! Cant tell u about food, didn't eat, kitchen shut early for guy falkes. U can pay to park there and walk to lewes on bonfire night. Park for free if your eating. Lovely old property, could do with a bit of updating in parts , but wouldn't put me off, just an observation. Lovely outdoor areas, heaters if cold. Defo go there, bèen there years ago, and glad to have gone back x Price per person: £10–20
