After taking care of the latter, we ventured into the mall adjacent to the festival and were promised fresh Portuguese grilled chicken upon our return. The promise held true. The 1/4 chicken (I had white meat, my boyfriend had dark) was incredibly juicy and came with three sides. The fries and chicken were cooked to perfection, and I opted for a caesar and quinoa salad as my other sides, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. The food was delicious and the total cost for two meals was around $26 (no drinks included). We were too full to try the Portuguese tarts they had on offer as we left, but overall, it was a solid food court option.
Located in a food court within an underground mall area in Montreal, this restaurant is situated near a beautiful colored fountain. Tired of the usual poutine, I decided to try something different after being enticed by a free sample. I ended up ordering a whole chicken seasoned with Portuguese spices. I was able to choose my spice level (mild) and was informed that it could be made quite spicy if desired. The dish came with two sides, so I opted for a salad and somewhat bland rice. Despite the disappointment with the sides, the chicken was delicious and satisfying. The price was reasonable considering the generous portion of chicken. Overall, a pleasant surprise to find such tasty food in a mall setting.
