I’m so sad!! This is not the Chicharron sandwich I remember when it was the summer time. Normally the chicharron is shredded and was topped with the most amazing fresh ingredients. What I got instead, made me depressed The taste was not very good. For 12$ and then a 2$ tip =14 for this alone and a coke.... It’s depressing guys. :
I’m sorry but the claim of best Peruvian chicken in Montréal is misleading, it might be just because no restaurant in the city comes even close to the real thing. As with other ones (Deux Four, Pizzelli), chicken is reheated, overpriced and not like you would get in a real “pollería”. If you want a good roasted chicken, go to a Portuguese rotisserie, sad to see that we are still unable to bring the real flavours from Peru to Montreal.
Hands down the best Peruvian chicken in town. I am Peruvian and the flavours of their chicken, the salad and the sauces (very important part of a typical Peruvian pollería) transported me back to Peru. Portions are generous, the fries are really good and the price is fair for what you get. Come try this place because it is so so good. The half chicken combo is perfect for two. Will be ordering from Pio Pio again very soon!
Simply the best roast Peruvian chicken in Montreal !!!To try absolutely !The pork sandwich is absolutely amazing
