Crazy Al's Hillbilly BBQ - Limerick

Order taken quickly and accurately. Clean picnic tables. Lots of mixed use parking (we came on our ATV's). Food was great, served in great wrappers that help pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches together.

Very delicious burgers. The Crazy Al Burger has burger, pulled pork, pemeal bacon, and cheese curds. Poutine has real cheese curds which is sometimes very hard to find these days. A little pricey but worth it.

Crazy Al's is an excellent road side BBQ. en route from Bancroft to Madoc, we were dreaming of a chip truck that offered meat from a good local source, and to be honest did not believe that we would find such a place. When we found Crazy Al's we were delighted and surprised to learn that the owners also have the same taste in ethical and healthy meat options! The burgers were delicious and the service was amazing. We will definitely go back! Highly recommended!

The staff was excellent and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed my meal at this restaurant, where I had poutine and flavorful deep-fried pickles. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. Stop by on your way in or out, you won't be disappointed.

Lauri and Al are the friendly owners of Crazy Al's Hillbilly BBQ, a roadside BBQ joint located south of Bancroft, Ontario on Hwy 62. My husband and I stopped by on the last day of our 5-week road trip from Northern Ontario to Newfoundland and back. After being denied use of the restroom at the gas station across the road, we were relieved to find that Lauri had a clean porta potty for customers. Despite regularly sending their customers to Crazy Al's, the owners of the gas station, Joseph and Stella, have refused to help with the cost of maintaining the porta potty. This lack of cooperation is unfair, and in my opinion, businesses should support each other instead of taking advantage. I would recommend avoiding Trudy's Gas Station and instead giving your business to the much more customer-friendly Crazy Al's Hillbilly BBQ. They may not sell gas or alcohol, but their food is fresh and tasty, and they have a clean and accessible restroom available for those in need.
