We all ordered the all-you-can-eat deal with a beer which was $32 each. There was a slight issue with getting our BBQ burner started but it worked well after that. The downside was that the place does not look terribly clean-walls, windows etc. the tables, cutlery was fine. There is also a lack of ventilation so by the end of the evening it gets very smoky in there when the place is full. It was still a good evening and everyone left feeling full.
We always go to Goong charcoal BBQ for all occasions whether its for lunch or dinner it our favorite place to eat. the service awesome and the food is fantastic and the owner is friendly and works well with his customers. Never had any faults with the food or staff. Everything perfect. Hope to see you soon nice people.
We were here a year ago for same birthday booking. It was a slightly quieter night as the restaurant had a single table free. The food was as delicious as the previous year, but how much better was the service...earning the excellent rating. The owner joined in on the special occasion and we learned his birthday was the next day, so we partied on singing on the karaoke machine to welcome in his birthday too. Best fun meal and party atmosphere and again - all you can eat.
We headed there for a birthday party with 30 guests. Parking was an issue but there are several other car parks within easy walking. We were lucky and parked outside the door. The lift up to first level was very welcome. Saturday night and the place was crazy, absolutely full and mostly Korean's, so a good sign. The BBQ is a cooker right in the middle of your table and they load you up with rice, mashed potato, salads and other treats to eat with your meat dishes. Pork, Chicken, Bacon, Beef and Seafood - prawns, calamari and baby octopus. All marinated and tender. Cooking is always to your liking as YOU DO THE COOKING. Tools supplied and after remarking how much it reminds us of the 70's Fondue cooking and into it. They are licensed and have imported and local beers. Their Korean red wine was superb. Prices very reasonable. So, were the meal portions good? - they were great. ALL YOU CAN EAT for $25 pp (kids 50%) as well as a menu. If you are hungry, call for more with the electronic bell on your table. The service was good but with the huge crowd, at times a small wait for replenishment dishes. There were no restrictions and we had several extra serves of beef, pork and seafoods. Truely could not believe how much we ate whilst casually chatting. Don't go there if you are on a diet - you will fail. We are already planning another visit...very highly recommended even with all the noise and it was a bit warm - with aircon on full, there were approximately 20 BBQ's firing up the place.
I would not return to this restaurant. My main issue is with the atmosphere.
