Stopped by here for lunch just to try something other than the food court at the shopping center across the road. One thing that was noticeable about this
My favourite tea place in Brisbane... The pearls are nothing alike at any other tea shop, chewy and soft. They have a huge variety to chose from as well as a couple of food items. Reccomend the honey dew green milk tea or Earl Grey milk tea. The drinks are always consistent and you can pick ice and sugar levels to your liking.
I has been nearly years since my last review on this eatery. Since the change of management to SINO tea from Hazel Tea shop, this eatery has again been changed the management but keeps the same trading name. The current management just keeps the same trading strategy of not serving any noodles on Saturday busy period?! We had a quick lunch on last Thursday due the delay of a business meeting prior to the lunch time. Ordered the package of Beef noodles but was told the running out of beef! Changed the orders to Noodles with spicy mushroom meatball deal with drink of Mango Green Tea with Pearl and the Noodle with egg Tomato deal with drink of Honey Green Tea with Aloe Vera. Portions of noodles are reasonable and I can say generous when I ask for extra bowl of additional noodle for free. However, ingredients of egg& tomatoes and the meatball are mean particularly I don't like the ready made frozen meatball from suppliers. Moreover, the sweet from mango green tea is too artificial. Wish the management can pay attention to their production.Aug across the name of this food outlet last night and felt not familiar. After some research, I found that it was the previous trading name of TINO TEA at Sunnybank Plaza. I think the most representative noodle of Sonful Noodles should be the knife-sliced noodles (Dao Xiao Mian) so I tried it on purposefully this lunch. Ordered the meal package of Beef Dao Xiao Mian with drinks. Chinese veg and beef were done perfectly but the noodles did not like it's kind that I had in China. If it is used the technique of shaving to make the noodles then they should be in pieces not in long strip forms. Therefore, I doubt if it was freshly prepared when I ordered. Having said that the whole noodle soup was delicious.
It was around 4:00pm and I felt my hunger starting to grow - Sino Tea specialises in Taiwanese style beverages. Feeling peckish? well, they also offer a small variety of meals. I've visited this place countless times and my go-to dish has always been the Beef Brisket Noodle Soup and the Mango Green Tea ???????? I decided to change it up a tad and go with the Fried Noodles w/ Beef and Capsicum (take-away). I didn't expect a long wait as there were only 2 people dining in (they already received their orders and were in the middle of their meals). My wait was around 20-30mins (I ended up following up my order once with the staff) and they said it'll take maybe another 2-3mins. The food finally arrives - The noodles were stuck together (which is common when you have it take away) that's no problems. I mixed the noodles with the chopsticks and took my first bite, only was I to realise there wasn't much flavour. There was hardly any sauce and the dish only consisted of 6 or 7 slices of beef (was a bit of a letdown). On the pro side of things, the beef was tender and the noodles were soft and slightly chewy. Which was good. Think next time I'll just stick with their Beef Brisket Noodle Soup ???? Note: If you order their Noodle Soups, you can grab extra noodles for free! ????????
