We ordered the avocado sourdough with chili, along with a duo of scones and a pot of Queen Anne tea. We also tried the rose and pistachio cake, which was delicious, albeit a bit on the sweet side. The only downside was the iced peach tea, which at £4.96 was disappointingly small for the price. Overall, the food was enjoyable.
Whenever I visit London, I make it a point to experience a classic British establishment. 'The Parlour' at Fortnum & Mason never disappoints, despite prices being a bit on the steep side. This time, I opted for the ‘Parlour Tea’ set menu, which features a nice variety of items from the main menu. I chose the Elegant Rarebit and a selection of scones, accompanied by an iced coffee. The food was delightful—tasty, fresh, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend a visit here, and while you're there, be sure to explore the lower floors for even more culinary inspiration.
I was really disappointed with the savory dishes. The pie was £16, and it was quite dry. I managed to wash it down with a glass of champagne, but overall it was a letdown.
Polite staff, food was good, coffee not so much. Ice cream hit the spot. I'll return to shop, but not to eat.
