We visited Mala Indian Restaurant in Canary Wharf last Saturday. I had a booking for 19:30 and they kept our table ready by the river side. It was a fantastic view to have while eating. The service was quick, even though the restaurant was very busy and following all COVID guidelines. For starters, we ordered a mixed platter of lamb seekh kebab, fish, and a vegetarian cutlet, all of which were fresh and delicious. For the main course, I had the butter chicken while my spouse ordered a vegetarian thali, which included a variety of dishes including a delicious okra masala. Our 4-year-old daughters enjoyed their meals as well. We also had a few drinks... Overall, our experience at Mala Indian Restaurant was delightful and we would definitely recommend it.
Mala's food gives you a good Indian taste, Starters like Planner, Kabab Samosa are delicious....... Thali's quantity is too much.... Worth ordering if you have a good appetite.... Goood food.... Highly recommend
Great location overlooking St Katherines Dock, easy access to Tube River. The view from window looking at st Katharine docks was absolutely gorgeous. The whole area was thronging with tourists and the atmosphere was amazing. The food tastes pretty good would not say best in London but would definitely recommend a try. If you are visiting the Tower of London this is a great lunch spot. The service as great, welcoming and courteous staff. The cost is high for the quality and quantity both but it is scene outside what makes it worth.
If you are in search of high-quality Indian cuisine with a soothing atmosphere, Mala is the place to go. I opted for the set menu and was not disappointed. The aloo tikki chaat as a starter was perfectly seasoned and incredibly tasty. The butter chicken for the main course was exceptional, with tender pieces of chicken that practically melted in my mouth. I must mention that all the curries we tried had a rich depth of flavor and were well-balanced, brimming with taste without being overwhelming. The ambiance is top-notch, with beautiful décor and charming tea lights adding a nice touch. The only downside was the wait for the food to arrive, and perhaps larger portion sizes would be appreciated. Overall, a fantastic dining experience at Mala.
