It was disappointing that you were out of steak, but I should have ordered another main dish as the pork belly didn't quite hit the mark. The standout on the menu was definitely the pumpkin ravioli. And not to mention, the fries were absolutely delicious. Looking forward to coming back soon! By the way, it would be great if you could add some dog-friendly meals and treats to your menu.
We stayed at this restaurant with our 15-month-old child. We had booked for 2 adults and 1 child, and I had also sent an email ahead of time to confirm that a travel cot would be provided for us, which they confirmed. However, when my husband arrived with a very tired toddler in the evening, the travel cot was not in our room. I had also called before our stay to request some cows milk for our toddler, and was told it would be provided in the fridge in our room (with a note on our reservation). Unfortunately, there was no fridge or milk in our room. The staff member who greeted us was helpful, assisting my husband with our bags and stroller, and ultimately getting us the travel cot and fresh milk (even though it was a tight fit in our room!). The room and bathroom were clean, and there was a good selection of breakfast items and brownies in the communal fridges.
Our son treated us to a stay at The Bridge before our journey up North the next day. The room was spacious and luxurious, with top-notch facilities. The staff at the pub below were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a self-serve Continental spread, perfect for us.
This used to be my local when I lived round the corner from it… family came down for Xmas and we walked there on Xmas day to get a drink as it’s a tradition but it was closed I should have checked). We wanted to go there last night, before dinner and again, there was a sign that the pub would close at 8pm… we were there the night before and my family enjoyed the atmosphere and the food but there wasn’t a sign, unless the 4 of us missed it. What are the opening hours then?
One night stay. We were seeing a show at the Apollo which is a short walk away from here. Really friendly welcome and was impressed from the start. Really nice room which was clean and well equipped. Popped down for an early dinner before the show and opted for the burger. So far spent £120 on the room and the cost of two glasses of red wine and two burgers at £15 each. However was charged £1.50 to have a bit of cheese put on the burger. I mean come on, I know this is an industry standard but I am sure they would still in enjoy a profit by including it in the price. It was the Same amount to add an onion ring! That is an expensive slice of onion !! I know it’s not a huge amount but a big bear of mine! Back after the show and enjoyed a few drinks. Comfortable nights sleep. Staff are really friendly and efficient and the pub itself is nicely decorated and is nice and cosy. I would recommend and would return but will take my own cheese next time!
