Unfortunately, it was soggy and tasted like a mouthful of vinegar. It was pretty much inedible. The other dishes we ordered, cashew chicken and Tai Dop Wai were okay but not particularly flavourful. We wouldn't order from them again. We didn't even eat the leftovers. We did give them two stars though because the staff were friendly.
This was our first visit to Yiuan's. The portions and quality of our was outstanding. We would recommend you try them. We will be back!
We've ordered Chinese food from here two more times since my previous review. The food was STILL awesome, but each of these times, there was a mistake in our order. The first time, we were missing our Sweet and Sour Sauce and in the second, we were missing our Egg Rolls. My advice . . . Do order food from here, 'cuz it's delish. But . . . be sure to check your order each time you pick it up before leaving, to endure everything is there! That's what we're going to do from now on! P.S I gave a rating of 4/5 below for service, due to our missing items.
We ordered in Chinese food for the 2nd time from Yiuan's last night and it was AMAZING AGAIN!!My husband and I just moved into an apartment complex 2 months ago and didn't know the area very well. When we returned to our apartment one night, there, stuck in the door, was one of their menus. We'd ordered Chinese food from "The Chopstick House" in the past, but after many, many issues (wrong order delivered, too long a wait for delivery, rude telephone staff, mediocre food) we stopped ordering from there. Maybe, we thought, just maybe, Yiuan's could be a dependable replacement restaurant AND it was very close to us! The young lady who took my phone order was very, very sweet and polite. She told me that my order would be ready in 20 min. (and it was!)Their food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! This is what we ordered the 1st time: - Egg Rolls- House Special Fried Rice- Sweet
27 of us gathered here for a small celebration. The food was delicious. The service was amazing considering the number of people. In fact it was wonderful despite the number. The food is fresh, not overdone, not over spiced...and enjoyed by all.The iregular menu is quite extensive and easy to understand..,there is also a special menu that requires two days notice for very impressive items..There were quite a few people coming in to pick up their takeout order. Always a good sign. Our menu had already been determined so I don't know how helpful they would be if you didn't know what to order. The menu seems to be pretty clear but with so many items it might be tricky..The space is very clean and inviting,. Not large. Our group took over more than half of the restaurant .If you don't want MSG..you can ask them to not add it .I honestly don't know how much, if any they do use..it wasn't an issue for any of us but I did hear someone ask..The onlyHickup for me was the dessert. The broth was delicious but the sticky rice balls were very very sweet. Having said that everyone seems to enjoy it. It's a small, quiet place to enjoy traditional Chinese food.
