Dang, they made us hungry! (For the record, we did something clean after they left. So, we took care of a Burrito. Husband suggested coming back to Taqueria la Mexicana. That sounds good for me. We're here and he wanted me to pick the meat. Lengua, must have the Lengua. I like something that I cannot cook at home (one day I will try even though. Burrito is filled with a good amount of lengua, roast pinto beans, spiced Mexican rice, cilantro, onions. Page of Salsa (Make sure to ask for this! If there is one line, you can wait for your order. We were there at 4:00 and waited around 20 minutes until our order is finished. That's okay, because the Lengua was absolutely the best, so tender, so well seasoned without the saltiness at all. Their mix of spices paired with their method of cooking led to the perfect Lengua. The price was $8.50 for the Burrito. good price for taste and quality. Just bring money. If you forget, there is an ATM in the waiting area. Parking is street parking as it is in the neighborhood on the 4th street. Learn the parallel park. So, don't hesitate to treat yourself an ingenious lengua burrito. (or the many other options in the menu! Buen procho!
Finally, it was here after friends suggested that I give them an attempt plus every time I go through, there is a line formed and that is always a plus... You know that means “Delicious Food” so today I called in my order super easy ... estimated time pickup was given to me on point that I was asked for for her spiciest salsa was told her red salsa is spicy... well our carne asada burrito was delicious it had the work carne asada, rice, beans wide plus acid cream and guarcamole a bit of salad onions OMG easy but with exactly!!! I was helped during picking up Joanna the checkout and she was super friendly I mentioned being there my first time... She was right by watching that you give back the food is great she has been working there for a long time and that is also a plus... great places to eat employees who are important and are their for a long time... So if you come in this part of LBC and in mood for authentic Mexican foods try them out and if your food is sharp on the red sauce... I recommend it to all employees who wear mask and social distancing followed outside they also have tables inside!! Only cash... if you have no money, there is a cash machine in me I noticed all that plus my burrito was kept warm for me in a cooler I loved... From the time we cut into the burrito it was still hot I will return, yes I cut the burrito in 3 pieces I shared it with two children's cans that swore it.
This is the place to get your taco on. Food was fresh as every component was perfectly seasoned, prepared, and cooked. Ordered the taco platter. The meat was flavourful with a nice kick of spiciness. I could go back again and again and again ... Need I continue?
I have literally been going here for years And it has never disappointed. Since back on my teen years I would surf then burrito spot, work, surf again then burrito spot again. Yes I would eat here multiple times a day. I would even say at one point I was completely addicted to their California burrito what can I say. I highly recommend the spot. It can be a little bit difficult to get parking but no matter the distance you have to walk it is worth it. My boy used to also live down the street from here and those were real golden times. I mean we ate at the spot like a dozen times a week. They've made a lot of money off of us lol. Enjoy everyone! I live in Arizona now but every time I come back to Cali best believe I hit up my favorite burrito spot!
The Asada has a unique taste, it will come you for more. Hasn't tasted another place where meat is preps. They only accept cash, but they have an ATM.
