Ume Asian Bistro - Longmeadow

Came here after work for dinner. I only ordered two appetizers fried eggplant it's okay and some sashimi they seemed fresh. The service was okay. The atmosphere was nice and modern. I have to come back and try other dishes to give a proper review.

My favorite Asian restaurant for sushi and a good drink! They make amazing martinis and the best sushi around. Large rolls and sometimes they give out a complimentary special roll to the table. My husband and I also like the vegetable stir fry which is super filling and fresh tasting. Doesn't make you feel like it was made with a bunch of butter... We have been coming here for years with our families and always have a great time! They also give free dishes of ice-cream at the end of your meal.

FANTASTIC! This is one of the best sushi places I've been to. This upscale restaurant sits among a small section of shops in Longmeadow. Plenty of parking. The entrance has a nice clean and welcoming feel. Inside is divided into two sections, the left is the bar and the right is the dining area. They have a lot of nice touches throughout the whole space making it feel really fancy and exciting. Some of the booths even have pillows which I thought was such a cozy addition. Our server was super friendly and polite, even gave us complimentary rolls (which were quite tasty). We ordered four sushi rolls which came out pretty quickly and they were delicious. The flavor balance was perfect and it tasted really fresh. My favorite was for sure the Honado Roll. Deep fried spicy tuna is my jam. We had such a wonderful experience, I have not one single critique. I will definitely be back.

This place has really gone downhill. The food is tasteless and it seems the owners don't care anymore. The bartender Nancy is always friendly and attentive unlike the bigger lady that is always there on her phone with an angry face. The sushi is hit or miss. It used to be a nice place with good music and a crowd. Now it's dirty and unkept. What a shame for a great location! I hope this place improves

Overall, I can't recommend this restaurant. While there were some positives, the negatives definitely overshadowed them. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was decent, but the service was incredibly poor. On the bright side, they did serve us large glasses of wine. However, we waited 20 minutes after being seated before anyone asked us for our drink orders, which forced us to order both drinks and food at the same time. After another 30-minute wait for our meals, they arrived without chopsticks, and we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for those. There was only one waitress attending the entire restaurant, and you could tell she was overwhelmed. Ultimately, it seems like this place isn’t managed well, and I likely won’t return.
