Bob's Bodacious Bbq - Los Alamos

I love barbecue and thought I would try. I was disappointed. food quality and taste was really nothing special in the average with the grill, sauce or side (beans and potato salad). I really wanted to find a good grill place to eat regularly, but I think I'm just going to keep looking.

To be honest I get around and enjoy my bbq and look forward to trying it every chance I get. That said I wasn't impressed by what we had. The brisket I had in the platter was dry and just left me dipping it in sauce for moisture. The brisket sandwich was sparce and mostly fat. I'm sure that mine was a unique experience but it will a while before I make it back.

Had a 3 meat plate. smoked sausages were not bad, but tasted just like the kielbasa they get from the food business, just cooked something. brisket was so. that was a little better. no real distinction between the BBQ sauces. only had 2 bits of mac n cheese because it was so watery that I couldn't finish it. not worth the money at all.

As a tourist this place let me down. The Jumbo pulled pork sandwich was quite small. The pork was slimy and bland. The buns were basic, not toasted or warmed.

I used to eat here fairly often before 2014. On Friday May 7 I stopped in to get an order to go. 2 meat combo plate, sausage and brisket, with two extra sides. The sausage was way over cooked to the point that each piece was black all the way through. The brisket was basically OK but tasteless. I didn't check the bag before I left and sure enough they did not include one of the sides. They weren't busy, one couple eating in and one other person ordering to-go right after me. This place has really gone down hill.
