I had the privilege of meeting the Chef-Sue. She adds her beautiful Peruvian flare to her dishes. I couldn't even believe that the grilled Calamari and Oktopus dish was seafood. The Barmanager-Kyle delivered us a delicious express drink? this place is a dream, I will definitely be back.
Good tasteful food. They simply changed to a new menu that lacks some of my previous favorites. Very good, though it has a strong emphasis on potatoes in many dishes.
Overall, my experience was strange here. The Kalamari were good, and my glass of wine was delicious. But my $26 pizza was weird. There were no herbs to speak as the menu described. I expected a basic sauce. What I got was more of a flat bread. It was dry and the costs did not correspond to the quality. I was really confused. I would probably not come back, based on this entree and the entree of my companion, which was presented sloppily and also not a balanced dish.
So sad that we can't get more quality restaurants in Los Altos. I'm sure this (new) restaurant wants to offer good food, but they need a better chef and quality control for the food they send out. The salad was beyond their expiration date, with brown and soggy leafs. The spicy pasta dish wasn't presented properly, it looked like somebody tossed a bunch of left overs on a plate and the chef forgot the difference between a spoon of chili and a bucket! The lamb ribs were served in a soup of the wine sauce instead of working as a complement. Overall disappointed. Hopefully they can improve.
