Idle Hour - Los Angeles

This place feels like home. I aim for happy hour. Very popular and lots of outdoor tables.

Relaxed, casual place with a great patio. Fun trivia games on Tuesday nights.

Was there 11/6 with a couple friends for a drink and apps. Overall the food was quite tasty, and drinks were decent too (though a touch pricey for pre-batched drinks, even in LA . Unfortunately the service was nothing short of absolutely abysmal. We sat for 15-20 minutes before somebody even came up to greet us and ask for orders. After receiving drinks and food we didn 't see another waiter for easily another 45 minutes. We wanted to order more (i.e., give this restaurant and servers more money! and we couldn 't even flag anybody down. We finally went to the bar to order and the bartender was rude as well. I 'm guessing, given the loads of other positive reviews, this was just an off-day where they were wildly understaffed and the servers were very grumpy about it. And I don 't fault them for being overworked, but damn, that was the worst service we 've had in many, many years. Ultimately gave up and went elsewhere for more drinks.

It's ok. Bartenders and security were very cool we shared shots together. Parking sucks as would be expected for the area.

The cranberry juice and sweet potato fries are awesome
