If you think it 's Chinese, well, I 'm guessing you like Olive Garden for Italian, huh? Obviously most reviewers think all Asians look the same, but if you pay attention to a woman 's lips you can tell if she 's Vietnamese. Maybe the men 's too, but I 'm not going to look at a man 's lips, even on a dare, or if you paid me. I don 't swing that way, brah!! (Not that there 's anything wrong with that! Now, I 'm not going to discredit what others have reported about this place, because, even though I haven 't had similar experiences, it wouldn 't surprise me to find out these incidences actually occurred. But, since my wife is Vietnamese I have an edge. She 's speaks the language, and I look so grumpy that people are naturally afraid to **** me off. Which is very good. The 4 stars is one star above average for one reason. It was the first time I ever actually experience a dish that claimed to be spicy to actually BE spicy. Usually, my wife says she 's worried that I 'll find something too spicy, and I eat it, and I 'm like did they forget to add the spices? This time was different, it was like eating all 5 Spice Girls at once!! It was THAT spicy!! That being said, it 's only worth a quick pop in if Yang Chow is too busy.
My favorite restaurant ever. staff is so kind and treat every customer like they're family. food is great, i recommend the rice porridge. restaurant is super clean. this place is a must go if you're in the chinatown area in los angeles
Great people and creative Asian food!!! Especially for hot food lovers!!! I cant wait to visit Los Angeles..........hold that Carolina Reaper Ice cream for me please. one of the must to try restaurants in LA.
Bought the chow mein here for takeout, pretty good and only 10$. I would order again.
Stopped here by a pleasant voice welcoming me in. Had the dumpling dish with broccoli and the spicy fish dish with bell peppers and onions. Both dishes were excellent. All of the vegetables were fresh and very tasty. Dumplings well seasoned and the fish was awesome. The service was excellent and did a great job judging the amount of heat I could stand. The spicy was just right. I have to go back. I recommend this restaurant.
