The Plant Lab - Los Angeles

I absolutely adore the diverse selection of rolls, ramen, yakisoba, and other items on this incredibly charming menu. Each dish is cleverly named after a notable figure from the world of science, and the flavors are truly a successful experiment. I am a huge fan of the food truck, so I was thrilled to visit their physical location. The sweet egg dish brought back fond memories from my childhood, and I was eagerly anticipating trying it again with the Okinomiyaki. Unfortunately, it was sold out, but I will definitely be returning to try it - again and again.

My partner isn’t vegan and said this was the best sushi they ever had. Big W. It’s a little pricey but I would say it’s definitely worth it!

I tried this restaurant during my visit to LA. Despite the long wait (25 minutes) due to their popular food truck, it was definitely worth it.

Special thanks to The Plant Lab for mixing up some super special alchemy for me in their laboratory. Can't say I've had its equal in LA. Sits atop my list of world's best western style sushi along with Midori, Shizen, Beyond and Tane. I loved the avocado and sake cut roll, and two types of stuffed inari. Thanks for the the magic, these wizards have found the philosopher's stone, because they certainly have managed to turn lead into gold. Or rather sa-led into gold! I've got your picture. Or maybe two. You made me zushi, so I love you. I sit here drooling cause what else I gonna do? Oh it's in color, the best in town. It's on the table, I'm in the clouds. What a place! As soon as I saw okonomiyaki on the menu, I knew I was gonna love it here. And I did. Such a large menu, there are just two faults: 1. You'll find it hard trying to decide what to have from the amazing menu, and 2. I live 7000 miles away, so a return visit soon may be difficult. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it back soon, but you should definitely try it.
