A good place for a beer and a feed both of which are excellent. Friendly staff and a reasonable price. However you need to check your bill total and count your change. I was overcharged considerably one night and shortchanged another. After pointing out the errors it was sorted but I had the feeling it was an habitual try on by the lady behind the bar. Try it but be aware
We went for the offer available on Wednesday. Any burger/pizza with a small beer or soft drink for 50000 kip. Pizza was nice, burger was very greasy, fat dripping off. Good value and portions. There was no lively atmosphere, we were the only people there. TV switched off so no sports.
It is nice to catch up on what is happening in the footy but there where always a few creepy old men ogling women walking past. Speaking of standards; while you are almost paying Australian prices the food is the same as much cheaper local bars.
Mick's driving a tight ship. It's a really great bar. Very friendly. It is definitely for expats and tourists, and the prices reflect this. The food is good. But Mick I want to see some Thai beer in there as I get sick from the local Brauläuse. Especially the U or My Beer or Chiang Mai (after all that is made in Laos). But apart from that, I see the AFL foot in the Aussie Bar. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is sociable. The ambience wonderful.
