A tuk tuk collected us from our hotel and brought us to the port where we took some steep steps down to our very comfortable boat. We were presented to our leader, Mr Lee, who had impeccable English and all the employees were polite and attentive. We started to visit the village of Lao Whisky to taste some whisky and then explore the market that was half an hour. The next station was the Pak Ou caves to see the 2 caves decorated with Buddha statues. On the way back to Luang Prabang we were treated to a beautiful meal. The experience was exceptional and very valuable for a half-day tour, we would definitely recommend it!
Interesting experience with a very helpful host and a beautiful cruise on Mekong River. It includes a visit to the whisky village and Pak Ou Caves and the costs are 25 Dolars /person.
Very pleasant cruise and staff take us through a wonderful landscape with a very good meal in between. Whiskey village is nice, but don't buy at the entrance, go on for better prices. The caves are beautiful with an impressive amount of Buddhas. Recommended!
Great service and great atmosphere. We booked a dinner cruise, and we were the only party to show up, so we had a private one from the Mekong with a beautiful sunset. Mr. Lee is a friendly host, and his wife prepared traditional Lao food that was fresh and tasty. Your company supports local educational initiatives, so your money also benefits from a local non-profit.
Great 4 hour cruise with really good food. I had the vegetarian options and they were better than the regular as my father and bf had the regular. Visited a nice village with stunning shawls and the pak ou caves. It was 15° Tho and with the wind was absolutely freezing. We ended up having to buy a table cloth from the village and use it as a blanket. But for $25 USD it was lovely.
