El Paisano Mexican - Lubbock

El Paisano is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Lubbock and currently sits in my top three. The establishment is clean, offers reasonable prices, and delivers outstanding service. I have dined there twice and left completely satisfied both times. The menu focuses on traditional Mexican cuisine, particularly from the Chihuahua region, rather than Tex-Mex. The complimentary salsa and chips are exceptional—spicy and bursting with flavor. The chilaquiles (chopped enchiladas) and barbacoa (shredded beef) are both expertly prepared. The beans and potatoes are also very enjoyable. The only disappointment was the rice; it was under-seasoned and didn’t have enough flavor, yet it wasn’t plain enough to resemble simple white rice.

This restaurant is an excellent place to enjoy a meal. The kitchen is pristine and well-kept. It provides comfortable seating options for both individuals and families.

The food here is absolutely delicious and incredibly affordable! We've started visiting regularly because the quality is excellent and the service is quick. The tables are always clean, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is very friendly. Don't miss the specials—they really provide some fantastic deals! Most dishes are priced between $5 and $8. It can be a little hard to find since it's located next to the subway.

What a nice couple of waitresses! So friendly, so awesome, and so great at their job! And the food... well it's just SUPER FANTASTIC!!!!

First time there. Took my mom and my wife's grandpa and we all agreed, the food was delicious. Can't wait to take my wife there.
