Pic shows the T-bone Jalisco topped with sautéed onions and mushrooms, with a bacon-wrappedjalapeño and a double portion of guac. So good!
Taqueria Jalisco provides excellent food and professional service. Our server went above and beyond with attending our needs and answering our questions. Accommodations were executed perfectly, and their recommendations were wonderful. I highly recommenddining at venues where the staff has personally tried everything on the menu to make recommendations. This place deserves eachone of its five stars.
Taqueria Jalisco had excellent service and good food. The sauce on the camarones a la diabla was nice and spicy, and the shrimp were good even though we're nowhere near a coast. They were out of tres leches but the strawberry sopapillas satisfied my sweettooth. The wait was only like 5 minutes for 4 people at 6 pm on a Friday, but it was definitely busier when we left. They don'ttake reservations so earlier appears to be better if you want to avoid a wait.
We, a party of four, were disappointed with the food. Not everyone is a fan of jalapenos. It is not cool that customers are not warned that almost all the entrees include jalapenos. It is definitely not cool that one cannot order a caldo withoutjalapenos. At least the food was not overwhelmed with cilantro, which seems to be an issue in San Antonio. The live music wasdecent and the restaurant is beautiful. Really not impressed with the food, though, and that is a deal-breaker.
Take out order on May 2nd, took about 10 minutes from order to receiving food. I got the fajita place with chicken, carne asada and shrimp. It had rice and cheese with a tortilla. Hit the spot!
