A venerable Lübecker Cafe with something in the furnishings. Located directly on the Klingenberg, the view is beautiful on the opposite water games despite conditional traffic, in particular buses. The ÖPNV has several stops nearby. Parking is also available in car parks and parking spaces in the area. Well, to stay the important the upscale ambience invites you, there is a large selection of cakes, but also a good breakfast is not despised there. The selection of coffee specialities is also not to be despised. Today I chose warm cheesecake with a cappuccino, both very much. The friendly and accommodating services are attentive, but discreet and not intrusive. You can enjoy yourself in style.

Great location tasty cakes not great service In my opinion, unfortunately, is only suitable for annoyance or removal! We visited this café several times for breakfast, for coffee in the afternoon. Sometimes it was very good. Especially the quality of the dishes could be seen (tasteful. But by the way, the mistakes were humming, and in the end we were even quite disappointed. Cosy we sat in the smoking room and enjoyed a few steps to coffee when I suddenly felt something on my nose. Actually. A fine fog was over us: room spray. My utterly irritated demand on the staff gave the following: every quarter of an hour an automatic sprinkle of the guests (for me stinking scent). Since I have been affected by an allergy, after this incident I suffered some time from unpleasant physical phenomena. If you know, you're avoiding the room, not something. A much bigger problem, however, is the friendliness of the operators, because this leaves much to be desired. You always have the feeling of going into the nerves of the ladies through commands etc., somehow disturbing them... In particular, an almost generally ill older operation (can the owner be in this case?) Customer requests against tending negative to go wrong. This is a factor you cannot avoid, such as the violently perfumed smoker room and actually already reason enough to search the width here quickly and sustainably. Nevertheless, we gave the Café Czudaj a chance some time ago and that was definitely the last: Our dear friend S. visited Lübeck and we wanted to have breakfast together. In the middle of the city is this cafe Czudaj, location perfectly brewed. As a precaution, I had reserved a table for us three by phone, and there was nothing in the way of the meeting. We met S. in front of the restaurant and entered it cheerful and full of breakfast. Our arrival was completely ignored. We stood in the entrance for a few minutes and waited for one of the three ladies to lead us to our reserved table in vain! So we were looking for a free table that was still full of dishes. An operation came clear and then extinguished the table with a sponge cloth. Immediately an unpleasant odor spread out, like from spoiled milk... We approached the table with the noses and wipe back. Hey! There was nothing other than two refreshments (of which I always have to wipe thoroughly). We made no sense from the whole process, the eclectic smell disappeared slowly and the three ladies behind the vase did not react at all to this action. Our friend, who has never been a guest in this café, naturally first got the card and looked at us helplessly skeptical: the bright paper pages were dirty and beaten. Since we wanted to enjoy a beautiful and stress-free day together, we tried to see humour over this circumstance. The other two cards that were finally enough had similar pollution. We smiled about it and compared quantity, type and shape of stains. Then the older operation took our order: three different breakfast sizes. The table was gradually covered. I looked at what was up there for us: on the butter there were crumbs, and on the edge the jam was smeared with butter. On the table it became narrow and narrow, and when the older lady put us the last plate, she noticed that the table was too small for three breakfasts. Thank you for this kind of advice we would never have noticed. The quality of the dishes was really impeccable: there were fine, nicely cut cat hams, crab salad, delicious cheese and sausage slices, and our friend was particularly satisfied with the fresh strawberries and the delicious salmon and only because of this there is instead of a two star of me. After some time the cooked egg came, that was one of the breakfasts. Unfortunately, it was so soft that it immediately escapes from the shell when it strikes. We enslaved the egg and got a new one later. And: the egg had the same consistency. The older one looked at while my husband was clearly upset with the egg and asked if it was okay. Since he no longer wanted to wait, his answer was that he would eat it like that. That's your decision. At this time, our friend took the air audible and we decided to get our mood to leave this place as soon as possible and take a long distance from any further visit. Conclusion: Too bad about the big store, in my opinion you could make so much more of it!!

At Easter, coffee and cake were very hot. Actually my visitor wanted to Niederegger, because you have to go to Lübeck, but in none of the three town halls there was a chance to find a place in time and there was a railway hall atmosphere. Alternatively, the Café Czudaj am Klingenberg, which is not so central but well accessible, was spontaneously recorded, which was recommended to me more often. There was room and the cake counter looked no less inviting than at the big competition. I found the furniture of the cafe a bit worn and old baked (isn't the store relatively new? , but fortunately, the shameful leopard pattern armchairs were released just behind the stairs that were quite beautiful. Unfortunately, our table was too small for two cakes and drinks. On the back there is also a smoking area and in summer you can sit outside. There were many waitresses who run around and sometimes forget something. The teas I had chosen from the extensive but heavily worn map were also taken out of the program, a pity! There were several varieties of Chai served with milk and honey. My friend's milk coffee was very generous. The cake was very tasty, my apple strudel was made warm on request – a poem I need to make more often! Nevertheless, only 3 points because: the facility could be overhauled. Especially in the lower report, I thought: “What should this be?” a whole floor with chaotic furniture and much too tiny toilet cabins. Well, really corrupt people fit in, I don't believe in. And they are certainly more often represented in a confectionery : But this cellar problem seems to be a widespread impurity in Lübecker Gastronomy, I have experienced more often. the service was also partly a little unplanned, we were served by at least 3 different ladies and had to pay at the counter if we wanted to go. But it was also a lot of operation in Easter. I found the prices a bit happy, three to four euros for a piece of cake or a cup of coffee, but since I'm rarely in confectionery, I don't know if it's not normal. I'm sure I can get something back here because the cake is very good, and take it cheaper, and you can't sit really nice.
