The Red Stag Tavern - Lyons

We only got up the steps in this small town where we were staying overnight for a family reunion. Apparently we could not even eat a small sandwich without pain a hectic cover charge. We were exhausted. We weren’t there for a band. We just wanted a little food. Like choose, bar or restaurant. Seriously, we are not all college students out to pick up girls and get drunk.

After reading positive reviews decided to take a drive to check it out. Was sorely disappointed. It was Saturday night it was dead. Besides us there was only 1 other couple. Food was terrible a little pricey. My nachos were bland and covered in what I guess was white cheese sauce; not worth $10. My friend had a salad with a chopped burger. Salad was straight from the bag had some tomatoes in it. Very disappointing for $15. Don’t think we’ll be going there again.
