The menu was somewhat restricted due to the high number of festival attendees. I opted for the brisket plate, and I was pleasantly surprised. For a reasonable price of $15, I received a generous portion of thick brisket along with two sides. Unlike other establishments, they did not skimp on the meat. I would highly recommend this place.
Very good food. I’ve had the shrimp and grits. Well cooked shrimp a bit salty I think due to blackened seasoning and maybe sated butter used in cooking but would have again. The salmon biscuit was good. Biscuit was perfect. Salmon cooked well but portion was too small. For the price I would not order this again. The cinnamon roll was very good too. Will definitely try Mike’s breakfast selections again.
First time here. It is a loud atmosphere. It’s cold. Food is good. Prefer burgers that aren’t well done. Noticed a man talking to some tables but not all. Not ours. But I heard him called Mike. As a business owner myself, I make sure I speak to all of my customers, not just a regular. You never know how far someone drove on a day just to try your food. Honestly, I am not impressed for many reasons but the most off putting is an owner who only speaks to the regulars. You never know when that first time customer becomes a regular. Disappointing.
Went here for a quick little breakfast. The grit bowl was really good. The grits were the right consistency. I didn't really enjoy the french toast it didn't taste like there was any cinnamon or flavor in it. The person I was with really didn't care for the omelette.
If I could give famous mikes less than a zero, I would! my friend and my daughter went to eat in the famous Mike’s restaurant 07/22/22 at about 11:10. we visit a high time and we had rave reviews about famous bakes heard and decided to check the restaurant. we stay in hotel 45 and decided to go. my friend and I ordered the same thing that garnish and grits my friend saved over her garnel and grotto and I had not the same experience. I told her my food was barely warm and she said my food is hot and tasty. I could see how the steam roll that comes from her grottes, and my fork full came in pieces, I could not even stir the grotten. I called the waitress and she could see that she was a “BIG” different. she took my garnel and smirked back into the kitchen to replace my order or to heat it up, she did not say. the actual owner mike went loudly speaking, initially, we thought he was joking, then I realized he wasn't. this man screamed as loud as he could and screamed at me in front of the restaurant entire, he called me a liar and said he put his hand in the food and it was hot. that was a lie. mike was really aggressive, almost threatening. the man has done everything that yells before my six-year-old daughter, and she is now traumatized over a $16.00 bowl of food. if $16.00 will lead them out of business and make them act like a child with a moderate tantrum, he must go out of business! the garnels were on the hotter side because they came from the grill. the grotten were almost hard and my friends smirk movably, hot and steaming. mr. wannabe famous mike is in my opinion prejudicial and rude and must be taken out of operation. he must take an anger management class and a class on inclusion and sensitivity class. mike's sweet waitress seemed to be afraid of him and admitted that he screamed his associates. when people testify to his personal mistreatment and still spend their hard-earned money. this land is really in difficult places. the waiters and moans apologised for mike. I'd have bought 20 grits if I wanted. I did not try to get free food, all I wanted was my eating hot and not almost cold if I wanted to eat cold, I would have ordered an salat!. a. wilson mcdonough, ga
