Perhaps, our expectation was too high (at least the same as the paella from Valencia), but the taste of the paella de marisca (18€ per persons) was somehow disappointing with the langoustines smelling ammonia....we didn’t dare to say anything as we were invited. Not much else to say....
One of the great things about Spanish food is variety. This restaurant certainly has a good blend of flavours with paellas and different types of rice dishes. Staff are helpful and attentive; as always in Spain, wine is good. Food is ok perhaps as any and most places in Madrid....one could easily forget about it and probably compare it to any and all cheap and cheerful places to eat.
Sunday lunch for 7 of us. I expected it to be busier it did not fill up completely, even so, I would recommend reserving a table. Croquetas and calamares a la romana to start, which were excellent, and the others had queso de cabra, which I detest, so I can't tell you if it was any good. Then the rice, which was superb. We had arroz ciego for 3 and arroz negro for 2, between 4 adults and 3 children and there was still plenty to take home after. Recommended.
Muy buen arroz, servicio impecable, lugar muy agradable. He venido sin reserva y la espera ha sido sólo 10 minutos. Todo perfecto.
Lugar altamente recomendable tratamiento inmejorable y comida espectacular todo
