Bank holiday and was pleasantly surprised to find it not over crowded (still busy but not heaving) Liam looked after us exceptional well, couple of bits out of stock but we expected that. Good food deal on for the jubilee 3 courses for £20. Food came out hot and tasty, my only issue is the salad bar, seems to have been downgraded on what’s available and still not allowed to serve yourself (even though you can get your own refill which is next to it) otherwise nice evening, nice food and staff friendly too
Tables did not look like they had been cleaned, the salad bar was poor quality and sparse compared to before lockdown, the bread rolls were dry and did not seem fresh, chips were hard. Considering we ate at noon it was very bad.
We were not told when arriving there were things sold out on the menu so we chose and then we were told and had to choose again. This also happened with the desserts so we ending up having to choose again. You should be told before looking at the menu. It took ages from being seated to getting our drinks order taken.
We had a good evening at running horse .Their service was excellent ,staff were very friendly and the food was tasty not too rich . It is always busy but not too noisy so can have a quiet conversation at your table.
