Clubjapones - Málaga

First of all, when we got there the door was closed, whereas it said on the Internet that it was open. When they opened the door, they asked if we had any booking but we didn't, so they said that they only accept reservations as they state on their website. We said that we could go, but they invited us in. The place resembles a Japanese bar, the food is good, not outstanding, but the service is really slow and it seemed like they didn't wanted to work. Maybe I had high expectations but we didn't have a good experience. What a let down!

Very tasty and high quality food. All fish was very fresh, and served in a varied of forms. Service is lovely and place is small and quiet. Nice japanese beers menu. Not fast food but it really worths the wait.

We are big fans of Club Japones. Although we live in Marbella, every now and then we go to this Malaga 's university district to enjoy the art of Japanese cuisine. Yes, I did say the art because Hernan the owner and the sushi chef is a real artist. You will agree once you see and taste his plates. There is a big variety of hot and cold dishes; apart from fish you will find a lot of meat and veggie options. If you are not a sushi specialist you may find difficult to make a choice but dont worry, Magda the owner will explain you the content of each dish and will advise you accordingly to your preferences. Entering the place you have to forget about the rest of the world there is you and your Japanese food. No place for rush! You have to appreciate that all dishes are elaborated at the very moment to provide you with he highest cuality, so be prepared that it takes a while. But it is so worth it! In the meantime you can enjoy one of the Japanese beers or French wines or tasty plum Japanese wine and the atmosphere of the restaurant. It is decorated to the smallest detail and nice music in the background makes you enjoy it even more. One time we went there without a reservation and it was full, so we always book the table ever since. The price considering other real sushi restaurants is very accesible, especially keeping in mind that the food is prepared by one of the best sushi chef that worked for the best sushi restaurants world wide. If you expect to eat cheap and fast DO NOT go there!
