D'amore's Famous Pizza - Malibu

This place is tiny, with outdoor table and chairs only in the courtyard of the Plaza. After I grew up in a pizza shop, I had great hopes for this place. Overall the pizza lacks taste. The sauce, the cheese and even the crust were just normal. Nothing to write home. I love a nice pizza crust, this dough is easier than usual for a pizza. Also very expensive!! I almost had a cow when he said $60 for a 12 special pizza, 2 slices regular pizza and a small slice of cake. No drinks. $60! So my expectations were somewhat higher as I expected an amazing pizza, but unfortunately nothing special about it.

Super beaten. Several toppings were missing, but I was charged for them. Half the pizza was so tender as if they had spilled something on it. Crust had cut off the burned parts. I paid a tip. What a waste. Never again.

Very good pizza and normally they do it as I ask her. Good pizza you want to try.

It's just not very good pizza. I kinda feel like this place survives based on lack of competition alone. The price is high, which I would be alright with if it was good, but it's not. It's not inedible or anything, just amazingly bland and a bit like corn-meal cardboard maybe, I can't quite place it. Combine that with the $30 take out minimum (what? and the non-mask wearing staff, it's just all around a wonder this place is open. Oh, yeah, there's no other pizza place. Do yourself a favor and get a frozen pizza next door at the grocery.
